Preschool & Toddler Programs
Sierra Preschool offers four programs:
Parent/Tot (1 day per week)
TuTh (2 days per week)
MWF (3 days per week)
Summer Program (check back for more info!)
We believe the early childhood years lay the foundation for much of later learning.
Hands-on learning will take place as the children are encouraged to participate in
creative art, science, math games, stories, outdoor and circle times (songs, games,
fingerplays…). Each program has its own schedule, or rhythm. Outdoor play, circle
time, job tables, and snack time are at the same time each day. When a child knows
what to expect during the day, it creates an environment where he/she can focus on
play and fun rather than wondering what’s coming next.
Our motto is “When I play, I learn!” This belief in encouraging each child’s emotional, physical, intellectual and social development is central to our child-centered programs. And as you have already gathered, here at Sierra Preschool we learn by having fun!
