Sierra Preschool Parent Log-In

What is a parent-cooperative preschool?

Sierra Preschool is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and a member of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS), and as such, the parents are the owners of the school. Through parent participation in the classroom, bi-annual cleanups and volunteering for committees and fundraisers, we are able to keep costs low. Our low parent-to-child ratio provides a safe and nurturing atmosphere that allows each child to explore and learn at his or her own rate and also cultivates an atmosphere that nourishes the growing mind and body.

At a parent cooperative (“parent co-op”) preschool, we all pitch in to keep the school running smoothly. Parents play a big part in classroom activities and our fundraisers. Each participating parent brings their own experiences and talents to the classroom; some share their love for art, some for gardening, and others may have an interest in science. With guidance from his/her teachers, each student grows into a well-rounded child with knowledge of many different things.

Parents are asked to help in a variety of ways, such as…
